A Large High Quality Ottoman Dagger Circa 1790 With Beautiful Plain Waisted Hilt, Original Scabbard And Fine Damascus Blade With Long Reinforced Point.
14 inch blade with central spine, very narrow fullers framing the central engraved panel at forte with gold Damascened decoration. The hilt with mellow patina and no losses. Morocco leather covered wood scabbard with large repousse chape and locket decorated with flowering vines and blossoms in the Ottoman manner.
Good overall condition. A good large Ottoman dagger at 19 and 1/2 inches without scabbard and a very fine quality early blade.
