A Really Lovely Pair Of Diminutive All Steel Boxlock Flintlock Pocket Pistols By “M. Glinay” Circa 1780.
2 inch deeply rifled barrels. 36 caliber. The box lock frames finely engraved with florals. Swan neck cocks. The butts finely engraved with blossoms and florals.
Most of these all steel pistols are spuriously signed Segalas London. Monsieur Glinay signed his name in bold capitals “GLINAY” and proudly “LIEGE”.
All steel pistols are usually well worn while this pair has really crisply defined engraving. The actions operate properly and bores are good.
A far better pair than is usually encountered. 5 and 3/4 inches overall.
