A Rare And Fine Double Pinfire Revolver Saber In Scabbard By Henri Goossens & Sons, Belgium Circa 1864.

34 inch clip point blade etched with trophy of arms in nearly full bright original polish. 3 and 5/8th inch round rifled barrel. 10mm pinfire. External hammer. Serial number 60.

Steel guard with three branches. Checkered gutta percha grip scales. This rare military oddity is complete with its original steel scabbard relieved for the weapon's revolver barrel. These rare revolvers were made with hopes for a military contract and are of the finest mid 19th century quality with fewer than 300 manufactured.

Condition throughout rates excellent. Scabbard with none of the usual dents. Double action is good and bore is fair. A really impressive and interesting oddity that has tremendous “eye” appeal.
