A Fine Etched Panel Colt “Sheriff’s Model” Lightning Double Action Revolver Serial Number 24321 For 1880.

3 and 1/2 inch barrel with crisp original etched panel “COLT D A .38” no ejector rod. Front sight is original height. Barrel retains 85% original nickel. Crisp cylinder with 90% original bright nickel. Frame with excellent markings and 90%+ original nickel. Screws are fine with some good traces of niter blue. Matching serial numbers.

Triggerguard has 95% original nickel. Backstrap with 50% nickel and some polishing to a very pleasing patina. Excellent original gutta percha grips are pencil numbered 24321 as they should be. Fine bore and strong action.

A really good ‘Sheriff’s Model’ Lightning from a real Wild West year when the West was wild. Likely worth a Colt factory letter!
