A Handsome Ottoman Flintlock Holster Pistol With Relief Carved Walnut Fullstock Silver Inlaid Butt Chiseled Barrel And Quality Fully Engraved Lock Circa 1855.

12 inch round smoothbore barrel with top flat becoming octagonal at breech. 65 caliber bore. The barrel chiseled in low relief with spray of foliage. Brass front sight. The lock finally engraved with swan neck cock engraved ensuite. Brass triggerguard, ramrod pipes and spurred buttcap cast in relief with skull crusher pommel. Scalloped plain brass sideplate.

Dark walnut fullstock elaborately relief carved fore-end. The wrist inlaid with silver wire and pellets. Action is sticky. Bore is fair.

Good size at 19 and 1/2 inches overall. Good condition throughout; a handsome Ottoman flintlock at a most attractive price.
