A Fine Ornate And Most Unusual And Attractive Of Full Silver Mounted And Gold Decorated Ottoman Flintlock Kabur Pistols Circa 1825.

8 and 3/8th inch two stage Damascus barrels with spiral twisted engraved cannon muzzles. 60 caliber smoothbore. The barrels elaborately Damascened in relief with gold Arabic strap work extending to the muzzle. The barrels with pronounced Damascus pattern and chiseled gold decorated rib ending in a relief fluret.

The breech tang decorated in gold. Flat locks with push on safeties and gold signatures (worn) Goose neck cocks decorated in gold ensuite with locks. Bridled frizzens and sophisticated roller bearing springs.

Full silver mounts comprising cast and chased trigger guards, side nails with silver inlays, Walnut full stocks elaborately inlaid with silver with in sprays of foliage (some losses), checkered in panels at the wrist. Actions are string on full and half cock. Bores are good.
