A Good And Genuine Civil War Confederate Spear Point “Bowie” Knife From The Jim Wells Collection.
Heavy 14 inch diamond shape blade is 1 and 7/8 inches wide at forte. Blade is heavily patinated with good unpolished appearance, Simple steel D-guard hilt with upturned hand guard. Dark well shaped wood grip secured with iron ferrule.
Untouched dark chocolate brown patination on hilt and grip. This Union skull splitter is 1 pound 12 ounces. 18 and 7/8th inches overall.
