A Truly Fascinating Antique .32 Caliber Single Action Smith & Wesson Revolver With Merwin & Hulbert Enamel And Engraving Further Decorated With A Panel Scene Of A Lion’s Head.

3 and 1/2 inch barrel with brightly blued rear sight and half round blade front sight. Each side of the barrel with engraving and five black enamel leafy inlays. The fluted cylinder engraved ensuite but not enameled. The frame with classic Merwin & Hulbert punch dot engraving bordering luxurious and exuberant black enamel inlaid designs. The panel of a lion’s head on the left.

Superbly fitted original pearl grips that show great “fire” and remarkably are pristine without a single chip. The hammer with good traces of color casehardening. This lovely and most unusual S&W retains 95% bright factory nickel throughout.

The action is tight as it was more than a century ago and locks up like a bank vault. The bore is fine. Altogether a wonderful addition to any S&W collection or decorated late 19th century American revolvers.
