An Extremely Rare And Incredibly Early Medieval Indian Sword With Crescentic Point And Multi-disc Pommel 15th Century Circa 1450.
27 and 1/2 inch long blade with 10 inch crescent. Extremely flexible and razor sharp. The blade secured to the hilt with characteristic 7 and 1/4 inch straps ending in a decorative serrated spear point. Lobate guard. Cylindrical steel unwrapped grip. Five disc pommel several pierced. Decorative pommel nut.
34 inches overall. In remarkable overall condition for a 15th century sword with undisturbed chocolate patination.
This is a really rare survival. If it were a European medieval sword the condition would be judged excellent and the value in five figures. Do not miss adding this rarity to your collection of really early and deadly Indian weapons.
