An Excellent Entirely Original Factory Cased Colt Model 1849 Pocket Revolver Serial Number 112xxx For 1856.

4 inch octagonal barrel. .31 caliber. Serial numbers all matching including wedge and loading lever. A truly superior ’49 pocket in every respect. The barrel with 95%+ bright original blue. Two line New York address. The lever retains 90% casehardening. The wedge is nearly new and exhibits none of the usual battering from disassembly.

The cylinder with perfect stagecoach hold-up scene and 85% thinning original blue. The frame with 95% faded casehardening. All screws retain their bright niter blue with no wear. Backstrap and triggerguard retain 95% heavy silver.

Figured walnut grips retain nearly 100% original Colt Factory varnish. Trigger with much original bluing. Hammer with most faded case colors. Appears to have left the factory without pin safeties. The action is ultra crisp. Nipples show much original blue. Bore is excellent. Original Colt Factory mahogany case with fine Colt style flask (one dent), original wine red velvet lining.

Added to this great cased set is a very rare and desirable high polish blue Colt mold. This is a truly superior 1849 Colt. As good as it gets.
