9 inch round barrel. 65 caliber. The barrels with engraved signature “H. NOCK LONDON” and gunmaker’s proofs retaining most of what appears to be thin original brown finish. The breech tangs well engraved as is the tang screw. Very finely made stepped bolted locks sparsely engraved signed “H. NOCK”. Gooseneck cocks are engraved. Rainproof pans, molded roller bearing frizzens all of fine Nock quality.
Stirrup rammers. Well engraved side nails. Brass trigger guards with pineapple finials. Brass ferrules and nose caps. Figured walnut full stocks in fine condition, one retaining most of its original varnish, the other with some wear. Actions are good on full and half cock and bores are fine.
Condition throughout is fine to excellent. This is a very high quality pair of Napoleonic period English flintlock officer’s pistols by a great British maker. 15 inches overall and most handsome.
