A Superb And Extremely Rare Spanish Ripoll Miquelet Belt Pistol The Wood Stock Entirely Sheathed With Embossed Brass Depicting Leaves And Vines All On A Punched Ground Circa 1745.
6 and 1/2 inch “Spanish” form barrel with cannon muzzle, The forward half with central rib finely engraved with leaves (some wear) and traces of silver inlay. The breech section beautifully fluted. Tang is finely engraved.
Classic patila miquelet lock with finely filed cock and frizzen retaining plates. Spurred iron triggerguard. Fine classic Ripoll ball pommel.
This lovely pistol is is very fine original condition throughout and retains its original steel ramrod. 10 and 3/4 inches overall. Ripoll pistols are genuine rarities and almost never offered to collectors. This is a really fine example of museum quality and condition.
