A Good Late 18th Century English Naval Dirk With Etched Blade And Finely Turned Hilt From The Days of Fighting Sail, Complete With Its Metal Sheath.
9 inch double edged blade with long fuller etched for 3/4’s of its length with acanthus foliage. Turned round brass guard. The grip beautifully turned throughout its length. Gilt brass pommel with lion face pommel nut. Original gilt brass scabbard with some gilding remaining.
13 and 1/2 inches overall out of scabbard. Rare and desirable dirk.
