7 and 1/2 inch octagonal Damascus twist barrels. 62 caliber smoothbore. Silver fore-sights. Elegantly signed “Ross Edinburgh”. Recessed breeches decorated with double gold bands. Finely engraved breech tangs with partridge rear sights. Finely engraved signed bolted locks with push on safeties. Signed “Ross”. Engraved swan neck hammers with top jaws engraved with bordered shields.

Locks of the finest quality feature rainproof “tea cup” pans, sophisticated roller bearing frizzens, and platinum blow out touch-holes, The border engraving of the finest quality, Beautifully engraved spurred trigger guards retain considerable original “peacock” blue. Highly figured deluxe walnut half-stocks finely checkered at butts with unusual pattern. Triggerguards with classic pineapple finials. Fore-and caps of silver, Silver thumb pieces.

Condition throughout is excellent barrels are rebrowned as is invariably the case with nearly all English flintlock cased sets, Stocks retain most original varnish. The locks with faded casehardening but no wear, Original brass tipped ramrods with worms. Actions are excellent and bores are mint. Pistols have beautifully engraved silver buttcaps.
