A Unique Extremely Large Long Barrel English Flintlock Boxlock Pistol By Ketland & Co The Frame And Barrel Of Tutenag (White Brass) Circa 1785.
10 inch round barrel. 62 caliber. Gunmaker’s proofs on right side of barrel. Breech tang nicely engraved. Frame well engraved with “KETLAND & CO” in a riband and “LONDON” in another riband, Bulbous dark walnut butt inlaid with silver wire scrolls and two stars (losses to wire inlay). Large tutenag buttcap cast and chased in relief with leaves terminating in a large blossom.
This unique pistol retains its original steel ramrod with threaded end. Action is good on both half and full cock, Bore is good. 15 and 3/4 inches overall.
