A Rare And Desirable Integral French Bowie Knife Blade Six Shot Double Action Pinfire Revolver By Dumontier Circa 1855.
4 and 1/16 inch part octagonal barrel made with the blade in one piece. 8 millimeter caliber. 8 inch stout Bowie blade. Liege proof on right flat. Fully signed “DUMONTIER” on left flat. Flared two piece walnut grips are original to the revolver.
Condition is mostly gray steel but with clear markings. Trigger return is not working. 13 and 3/4 inches overall.
Note: Most pinfire knife revolvers are assembled long after manufacture to be sold to unsuspecting collectors. This Dumontier is absolutely genuine as made and designed and not the usual revolver with a blade attached.
