A Rare And Very High Quality Silver Mounted And Decorated Philippine Tenigre (Bolo) In Its Original Silver Mounted Scabbard Circa 1890.

22 inch incredibly heavy single edged blade with swelled point. Lovely dark horn hilt with fierce monster head pommel with long snout inlaid with silver blossoms and faceted ring. Thick silver oval guard, the border covered with silver foil.

In its original wooden scabbard embossed with decorative floral motifs and decorative silver reinforcing bands. Leather sheath over scabbard also original and of the period. The blade in excellent condition, 28 inches overall.

Most impressive and in superb condition.
