A Very Fine And Exceptionally Long Beautifully Silver Damascened Indian Firangi With Museum Inventory Number Inside The Guard Circa 18/19th Century.
The 40 inch European blade with long triple fullers. The classic firangi hilt is Damascened throughout with heavy silver blossoms and silver Damascened chevrons on the long central spike. Purple cord wrapped wood grip.
The silver Damascening of unusually fine quality and very fine condition with very little wear or losses throughout. A really great example of this quintessential Indian long sword, 49 inches overall.
