Series IV Manhattan Navy Revolver in .36 Caliber.
Serial Number 51460 has a 5 shot cylinder with 5" barrel. 6 shot cylinders and other length barrels were also manufactured.
This revolver exhibits all-matching serial numbers and the last few letters of the manufacturer's name on top of the barrel. Otherwise this gun has no apparent markings.
The action works flawlessly and the wood may have been replaced at some time in the past as it displays only minor shrinkage but no significant dings or dents. The metal has a nice brown patina with occassional dings and dents.
The wedge is likely a recent replacement as the barrel shows some slack against the frame.
