3 and 3/4 inch fine Damascus barrels. 50 caliber. The barrels signed in full on the ribs “J. LANG 7 HAYMARKET SQUARE LONDON. London gunmakers proofs. Barrels are patinated with Damascus pattern visible. Frame superbly engraved throughout in the very finest English rose and scroll pattern.

Triggerguard engraved with Lang’s signature “Lion” face. Buttcap engraved ensuite. All engraving is sharp and crisp. Dolphin hammers engraved ensuite and both spurs are original and not broken and repaired as is all too often the case. Finely checkered figured walnut butt retains original varnish.

This rare and superbly engraved English pistol is cased in its original walnut partition case lined in original green baize with accessories comprising original bullet mold, screwdriver, nipple wrench and partial ramrod.

Original deluxe colored Lang trade label is upside down but is deliberately placed so. Lock is removed (minor damage to wood) but otherwise case is fine. Engraved push on safeties. 10 inches overall.
